powerful canon EOS-40D

Canon’s EOS 40D is canon company’s latest DSLR designed for enthusiasts and semi-pros. Announced in August 2007, it’s the successor to the EOS 30D, and continues Canon’s 18 month cycle for this product line. The reason that EOS-40D is popula is its shock appearance ,easy usage, powerful Performance and high quality eos-40d battery.

Canon EOS 40D Features

  • Increased efficiency 10.1-megapixel CMOS sensor with larger microlenses

  • Large 3.0-inch LCD display with broadened color gamut

EOS 40D has a tough new rival in the form of the Nikon D300. Like the D200 before it, this is a higher-end camera with a higher price tag to match, but if the past two years have proven anything, it’s that discerning DSLR buyers don’t mind paying extra for a superior product which could last them longer.

The canon EOS-40D Lith-ion battery is adequate for a day of active photography. The battery packs a powerful punch, with 10.3 Wh of energy stored in its plastic shell. That means that you can expect big battery life numbers out of the camera.

in conclusion ,Canon EOS-40D camera have a better performance than the others.I recommend a trip down to your local reseller to try out the EOS-40D and its competitors before you buy!

Build and Design

At first glance HP dv1000 computer looks a lot more expensive that it really is. The outer shell is made of silver colored plastic. The inside of the notebook is all black with a sort of textured feel to it. I would have preferred all silver rather than the two tones, but the look seems to work for this model. The laptop is sturdy, but I do have problems carrying it from the side, it seems a bit fragile and "creaky" when I am grasping it. The screen has very little or no flex to it, you would have to push very hard on it to see a ripple. The hinges seem very sturdy, there's no wobbling to the screen at all, when you put the screen in place it stays there. I have a problem with the latch that closes the notebook though. With just a slight push on the latch the screen releases and I don't like the placement of it, it is right below the touchpad and I find myself pressing it with my thumb when using the pad. I feel they could have made the latch a bit sturdier.

In a word,The HP dv1000 is a great lightweight widescreen notebook at a great price. It travels easily has a great keyboard and does all the things it's supposed to with a few added features.

Fujifilm Finepix F700 Review

fujifilm finepix f700

From January 2003 Fujifilm finepix f700 announced, more and more people like it.The Super CCD SR sensor that the Fujifilm F700 is equipped with powerful fujifilm NP-40 battery.Having to photodiodes at each photosite location, one large photodiode which captures the majority of the dynamic range (much like a normal digital camera photodiode), a second much smaller photodiode which is less sensitive and captures mostly highlight detail.

FinePix F700 Zoom Features:

  • 6.2 Million effective pixel Super CCD SR

  • 3x zoom (35-105mm equiv) plus 2.2x digital zoom

  • Up to 6.0 Million output pixels (2832 x 2128)

  • Movie Mode; 30fps @ 640 x 480 or 320 x 240 with sound

  • On-demand Continuous Auto Focus, focus assist lamp

  • Voice Memo - up to 30 sec. picture annotations

  • 3 - 1/2000 sec Shutter Speeds

  • Li-ion rechargeable battery(Fujifilm NP-40), USB / Charger Cradle included

  • ISO Modes; Auto, 200,400,800 (and 1600 when resolution is fixed at 1M)

  • 1.8" LCD Color Monitor

  • Uses removable xD-Picture cards (16MB included)

  • Compact (4.3 x 2.1 x 1.1 inch) durable metal body

  • Very lightweight at just 6 oz. (excluding battery)

Fujifilm F700 includes a 16MB xD card with the camera. That's enough to get started with, but you'll want a larger one right away. xD cards are currently available as large as 512MB, and Fuji lists them as supported in the manual.

Compact cameras usually use proprietary batteries, and the F700 is no exception. It uses Fuji's NP-40 lithium-ion battery, which has a so-so 2.6 Wh of power. Fuji estimates that you can take about 200 pictures with 50% LCD use. Proprietary batteries are quite expensive and you can't use AAs when you're in a bind -- which is why I prefer cameras that use "regular batteries".

The F700 offers a full range of exposure control, with Auto, Program AE, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, and Manual exposure modes available via the Mode dial. There's also a Scene Program mode, with Portrait, Landscape, Sports, and Night Scene options. In straight Auto mode, the camera controls everything about the exposure, except for options like zoom and drive (single shot or continuous shooting) settings.

There are no other cameras that use a sensor like the SuperCCD SR. As always, I recommend a trip down to your local reseller to try out the FinePix F700 before you buy!

Canon ZR100 camcorder review

powerful canoon zr100 camcorder

With Christmas coming, more and more people begin to buy camcorder for the great day.But how to choose, which to choose? Now,I introduce a camcorder,I think you can like it.It is Canon ZR100,with powerful and longer life battery(canon bp-511),High quality optics.

The most important feature that Canon brings to the table with this ZR100 is a technology known as DIGIC DV. This is a revolutionary new technology that allows the Canon ZR100 to deliver brilliant color rendition. As you know, there are many ways to view images off your camcorder.

Product Specification: Canon ZR100

  • Recording Format: Mini DV

  • LCD Screen Size: 2.4 in

  • Optical Zoom: 20 X

  • Digital Zoom : 400 X

  • Image Stabalization: Digital

  • battery:canon BP-511 li-ion rechargeable battery

  • IEEE 1394 (FireWire) Connectors: 1 x IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK)

  • CCD Quantity: 1 CCD

The ZR100 is fairly easy to use. It provides an easy mode button which, upon engagement, surrenders all image control decisions over to the camcorder. The camcorder’s adjustments are fairly swift and accurate. Novice users can put more emphasis on shot composition rather than image quality control decisions. For those who want to tweak the image qualities, the camcorder does offer

respectable manual control options, most notably the manual shutter speed.

Impress even the most die-hard movie aficionado with the ZR100's high-resolution 16:9 widescreen recording mode. Typically reserved for more expensive camcorder models, the 16:9 widescreen feature allows you to record true widescreen videos and photos for playback on home theatre systems. For enhanced accessibility, a Widescreen Button makes it easy to switch from the standard 4:3 mode to 16:9 Widescreen Mode. You'll also see exactly what you are shooting thanks to the 2.4-inch LCD screen's letterbox-style display.

All in all, the Canon ZR100 packs a lot of punch in a remarkably small unit. The ZR100 delivers Canon’s legendary quality optics with amazingly large zoom magnification capabilities ,better BP-511 battery and decent low light capabilities.

Canon ZR100 Camcorder Review

cheap canon zr100 camcorder

Canon introduced the 2005 ZR series with the ZR100, a camcorder trying to come out of the shadow cast by the bleak performance of its ancestor, the ZR80. Canon ZR100 Superb color quality; choice of automated and manual shooting modes; low price; solid battery life-BP-2L12 battery; supports add-on lenses and filters.

Canon ZR100 Camcorder Specs

  • Power Supply (rated)
    7.4 V DC (Canon BP-2L12 battery)

  • Power Consumption (While recording AF="ON")
2.3W (using viewfinder), 3.1W (using LCD screen in normal brightness)

  • Television System
EIA standard (525 lines, 60 fields) NTSC color

  • Video Recording system
2 rotary heads, helical scanning DV system

  • Audio Recording system
    PCM digital sound: 16 bit (48 khz/2 ch); 12 bit (32khz/4 ch)

  • Image Sensor
1/6-inch CCD, approx. 680,000 pixels Effective pixels: approx. 340,000 pixels

  • Tape Format Videocassettes bearing the "MiniDV" mark.

  • Tape Speed SP: 18.81 mm/s (0.74 ips), LP: 12.56 mm/s (0.49 ips)

Automatic mode on the ZR100 has been dubbed EASY mode by Canon. The camcorder has a mode switch on the left side, and when in Easy mode, users can rest assured that the camcorder is in a fully functioning automatic mode; the camcorder makes automatic adjustments to shutter speed, white balance, focus, and exposure. These crucial picture elements are part and parcel of any automatic mode, and in plenty of light, they adjust beautifully

With camcorder manufacturers competing for patrons, the newest fad is to increase the optical zoom. Every manufacturer this year at CES unveiled their entry level camcorders, and all had been given an extra dose of optical zoom. The Canon ZR100 has 20x optical zoom, and for such an inexpensive camcorder, this is quite the gift, and it breaks from the trend of giving cheaper camcorders less optical zoom power.

Ignore the 400x digital zoom, as this is simply pixel enlargement instead of true movement along an optical z-axis. It will be difficult, as it’s plastered all over their literature and monogrammed directly onto the side of the camcorder body.

With the included the battery fully charged, the ZR100 recorded for a little over an hour with its LCD open (1 hr., 5 min., 32 sec.).The ZR100 battery is a brand new, powerful battery, longer battery life.

All in all, the Canon ZR100 packs a lot of punch in a remarkably small unit. The ZR100 delivers Canon’s legendary quality optics with amazingly large zoom magnification capabilities and decent low light capabilities.

Kodak EasyShare V570 camera Review

kodak v570 camera

Kodak EasyShare V570 is a good example of how innovation and thoughtful design can come together in a consumer product that’s powerful yet easy to use. The Kodak Easyshare V570 is a unique ultra compact 5 megapixel digital camera - featuring two lenses: an ultra-wide angle lens, and a normal 3x optical zoom lens.

Other features of the V570 camera include:

  • A big, brilliant 2.5-inch, high-resolution LCD screen;

  • The exclusive KODAK Color Science image processing chip for phenomenal image quality with rich color, accurate skin tones, low noise and precise exposure;

  • Automatic red-eye reduction, on-camera cropping, picture blur alert and auto picture rotation;

  • In-camera distortion correction to compensate for ultra-wide angle fish-eye effects, which can be turned on or off;

  • Twenty-two scene modes plus three color modes, helping snap shooters capture the best possible shot with the least possible effort;

  • The Photo Frame Dock 2, which provides one-touch picture transfer to a connected computer while keeping the cameras’

  • high-capacity lithium-ion battery (klic-7001 battery) and ready to go, and which can play video and photo ‘slideshows’ on the camera’s high-resolution LCD screen;

  • And 32 megabytes (MB) of internal memory, plus a SD card slot for additional storage

  • As is the case with many cameras these days, the EasyShare V570 has built-in memory instead of a bundled memory card. The V570 has 32MB of built-in memory, which is a decent amount for a camera with this resolution, but you'll want to buy a larger memory card anyway. The V570 uses Secure Digital or MultiMedia cards, and I recommend a 256MB or 512MB card as a good place to start. A high speed memory card is not a required purchase.

The V570 uses the same KLIC-7001 lithium-ion battery as the V550. This compact battery has just 2.7 Wh of energy, which translates into fairly poor battery life.

The V570 includes the snazzy Photo Frame 2 camera dock, which can be used for several things, including charging the battery, transferring photos to your computer, or viewing them on a television. In fact, unless you can hunt down a mysterious adapter shown in the manual, this is the only way you can transfer photos or view them on a TV. The battery can be charged either with the dock, or with the included AC adapter. Either way it takes three hours to fully charge the battery.

Packing advanced video performance, the camera makes it easier for users to shoot all types of action in the way that many filmmakers prefer — with an ultra-wide angle to capture more of the scene. The EASYSHARE V570 camera records TV-quality video, high capacity kodak klic-7001 battery up to 30 frames per second (fps) using advanced MPEG-4 compression. Built-in image stabilization technology reduces on-screen shaking from unintentional hand and camera movement. The camera also offers an optical zoom feature for video including auto focus. And it is simple to select any frame in a video, then save and print it as a “freeze frame” still picture in just seconds.

    Fujifilm Finepix F440 Camera Review

Slim, stylish and lightweight, FujiFilm's FinePix F440 is a 4-megapixel camera and, while it has a couple of features that set it apart from the opposition, it uses a standard CCD sensor rather than the SuperCCD that FujiFilm has used in a good number of its other cameras. Measuring just 74.5 x 6.3 x 21.3mm and weighing a mere 150g, the all-metal FinePix F440 could be easily lost in your coat pocket and it has a better build quality than some of the FujiFilm range.

FinePix F440 Zoom features at a glance:

    • CCD sensor delivering 4.1 million pixels

    • 2.0-inch LCD monitor for clarity and detail

    • 3.4x optical zoom lens

    • Low sensitivity setting of ISO 80 for photography in bright conditions with low noise

    • New lithium battery (NP-30) and reduced energy consumption

    • Movie capture of 10 frames per second with sound

    • xD-Picture Card™ providing large storage capacity, lower power consumption and fast write speeds (16MB to 512MB)

    • USB PictureCradle for fuss-free downloading of images and battery recharging

    • PictBridge™ compatible for direct printing without a PC .

    • Movie capture of 10 frames per second with

Fuji includes a 16MB xD card with the camera, which holds a grand total of seven high resolution pictures. So consider a larger card "a must". xD cards are currently available as large as 512MB, and I think 128MB is a good starter size for most people. Be warned that xD cards tend to be more expensive than CompactFlash and SD cards.

The F440 uses a compact lithium-ion battery known as the fujifilm NP-30 to power the camera. The battery isn't exactly what I'd call powerful, with just 2.1 Wh of energy. That translates to 150 photos per charge, using the new CIPA battery life standard (which I'll be using from now on, when possible).

The FinePix F440 Zoom continues the line of square-styled digital cameras from Fujifilm. Measuring in at 74.5(W) x 62.3(H) x 21.3(D) mm and only 150g, precious millimeters have been shaved off already very compact cameras. The F440 Zoom is the first digital camera from Fujifilm that can truly be labeled 'ultra-compact'.In order to combine full size performance in such a small housing, Fujifilm engineers developed a new lens structure, which allows the 3.4x Fujinon zoom lens to retract completely into the slim stainless steel body. The F440 Zoom features a 2.0-inch, 154,000-pixel TFT monitor to make it even easier to frame your pictures and even clearer to review them. Not content with just improving the zoom range and screen size for a camera of this size, the FinePix F440 Zoom features a 4.1 million pixel CCD, allowing images to be enlarged without the loss of quality. The F440 Zoom features newly-developed image processors to ensure that each image has true-to-life colors, by analyzing lighting conditions, subject color and tonal details, all before you take your photograph. This image processor, coupled with the ability to select ISO 80, gives the potential for even higher quality images in bright conditions.A new lithium rechargeable battery(NP-30 battery) keeps the camera going, while the lens and image processor technology advancements mean that its power consumption has been reduced even further. The FinePix F440 Zoom comes complete with a PictureCradle, making recharging and downloading both easy and convenient. PictBridge compatibility also allows printing at home without the need for a PC or Mac.

    • USB 1.1 port for image download

    • One-Touch upload for easy image transfers

    • User-upgradeable camera firmware

    • Compatible with existing Coolpix auxilliary lenses.

The now familiar EN-EL1 rechargeable battery (5.0 Wh), also found on the CP5000 and CP5700, is used here. Nikon estimates that the battery will last for about 100 minutes in "average use". The run-down of the EN-EL1 battery is about 100 minutes (in the conditions typical of Nikon: display on, zoom adjusted for each shot, flash used for a third of shots, NORMAL quality, 2272*1704).
Nikon includes an external charger for the EN-EL1. They also give you a lens cap and strap to protect the lens.

Here's a new one: the CP4500 has a feature called Perspective Control which allows you to change the vertical perspective. The example Nikon gives is to make a shot of a building taken looking up at it appear more square (like it was taken at eye level). You adjust the image using the four-way switch (up/down only), and when you're happy with it, you wait 40 seconds for the new image to be written to the CF card.

    Another CP4500 feature lets you resize your image to a much smaller size. Choose from 640 x 480, 320 x 240, 160 x 120, and 96 x 72.
One nice feature is the ability to delete a selection of photos, instead of just one or all of them. You can also mark images to be automatically transferred when the camera is hooked into the computer.

The Coolpix 4500 excels in the image-quality department, providing especially detailed, sharp, and clean images with little noise. It accurately meters and exposes pictures, and color tends more toward the natural than the oversaturated.

Asus EEE PC 701 laptop Review

    asus eee pc computer

The Eee PC is marketed as an "Easy to Learn, Easy to Work, Easy to Play" computer. Due to its size, it is classified as an Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC). Whilst ultra-portable notebooks often weigh about 2kg, the Eee PC is a featherweight 0.92kg, with high qutlity eee pc battery. It is therefore an ultra-mobile machine in the true sense of the expression. The machine is small enough that it can be used in just about any environment. However, this is a full PC, not just a 'mobile Internet' device like Nokia's Internet tablets.

The specs for ASUS Eee PC 701:

    • Processor: Intel Celeron M ULV 900MHz

    • Graphics: Integrated Intel GMA 900 GPU

    • Storage: 4GB of Flash-based storage (SSD)

    • Memory: 512MB of DDR2 RAM (667MHz)

    • OS: Xandros Linux (Asus customized)

    • Screen: 7-inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution

    • Ports: 3 USB 2.0, 1 VGA monitor out, headphone jack, microphone input, SD card reader (SDHC compatible), Kensington lock slot,

    • Ethernet 10/100

    • Webcam (0.3 MP)

    • Battery: 4-cell 5200 mAh 7.4V Li-Ion (rated at 3.5 hours asus eee pc battery)

    • Wireless: 802.11b/g Atheros

    • Input: Keyboard and Touchpad

    • Weight: approximately 2 lbs with battery, 2.5 lbs travel weight with AC adapter.

    • Two-year warranty

    Build and Design

The designers at Asus had no easy task creating an attractive ultraportable notebook while also making it cheap to produce. The case seams match up with reasonably tight tolerances, plastics feel thick (though the pearl-like white plastics look cheap) and the display hinges are molded into body with the battery. Lifting the display cover you find the amazingly small keyboard surface and even smaller touchpad resting below the recessed display and speakers. In short, the build quality is quite high despite the low cost.

    Screen

The screen is 7-inches diagonally with LED back lighting and has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. For the sake of a reference, below is what you can see when you pull up the homepage of the site you are on right now.

The Eee PC might not have a glossy, high contrast display like most notebooks made in the last year, but the bright and even backlight helps make for an enjoyable reading experience. We even found the quality of the colors more than sufficient for viewing movies or You Tube videos.

    Heat and Noise

Even with the low voltage processor and SSD drive, the Asus Eee PC produced as much heat as any other notebook in the same price range. The keyboard and bottom of the notebook got quite hot even under normal use, and the fan was always running in an attempt to keep the system cool. Fan noise was among the quietest we’ve heard. The only way to tell the fan is blowing is to put your hand next to the air vent to feel the warm air blow past.

    Battery

Under normal use, backlight at 100 percent and using wireless for web browsing and watching a DivX movie at 75 percent volume, the Eee PC managed to deliver three hours and 23 minutes of battery life(asus eee pc laptop battery). We were hoping for more given the low voltage processor and flash-based storage, but for a notebook the battery life is still very good. Lowering the screen brightness and turning off the wireless card should provide enough battery life for prolonged use.

While the battery life was reasonable, we did experience some minor problems with the on-screen battery meter. After two hours and 8 minutes of browsing the web wirelessly and watching a DivX movie the low battery warning popped up on screen and reported that the Eee PC would shut down in 3 minutes unless it was plugged into a power source. The Eee PC then kept working for another one hour and 15 minutes before the notebook shutdown. Bottom line, the on-screen battery indicator cannot be trusted.

The Eee PC might have a weird name, but it's one of the few products that lives up to the marketing hype. This notebook truly is “easy to learn, easy to work, and easy to play.”

    • DPOF and PictBridge direct-print USB compatible

    What's in the Box

The package contains the Sony DSCP100 digital camera, a 32 MB Memory Stick, a rechargeable InfoLithium battery (NP-FR1), a battery charger (AC-LS5), A/V and USB cables, a wrist strap, and a CD-ROM with photo editing software for Windows PCs.

    Storage and Transfer

Images are stored on Memory Sticks, and the Cybershot DSCP100 is compatible with Memory Stick Pro media for storage up to 1 GB. The included 32 MB Memory Stick will store 12 fine and 23 standard 5.1-megapixel images. The DSCP100 transfers images to PCs and Macs via a speedy USB 2.0 connection (which is backward-compatible with USB 1.1 ports).

    Power and Size

The camera is powered by a rechargeable Sony InfoLithitum (lithium-ion) battery, which provides reliable, long-lasting power for continuous shooting, with no "memory effect" (see "Tech Talk," below). The included adapter/charger provides power while you transfer images from your camera to your PC.

the Sony P100 is a good and unusually capable subcompact point-and-shoot digicam. Housed in a very small package is a 5.0-megapixel CCD, a sharp, high-quality 3x optical zoom lens, nine preset Scene modes and a host of other creative options. Its pictures show excellent color and sharpness (although I'd like to see better handling of household incandescent lighting), and surprisingly low noise levels for its combination of a five-megapixel sensor and compact camera design.

    • USB connectivity and PictBridge direct-print compatible

    • CompactFlash Type I and II, Microdrive compatible

    • High capacity Li-ion rechargeable battery and charger

    • Optional Battery Grip with heavy-duty battery pack

    In the box

The Olympus E-300 comes complete with the new Zuiko Digital 14-45mm f3.5-5.6 zoom lens. Apart from this you will find USB and video cables, shoulder strap and body and lens caps. As with all other DSLRs no memory card is included, so our advise would be to go out and buy the largest CompactFlash card you can afford. Keep in mind that a single JPEG image from an 8-megapixel camera at maximum resolution will be something like 5Mb to 8Mb, depending on the level of compression used. Fortunately card capacities are rising as prices are coming down.

The E-300 uses the BLM1 li-ion battery which is the same as the one used in the E-1 and several other Olympus cameras. During our tests we managed to take about 400 images with one single charge. We didn't skimp on using the LCD and it was freezing outside, so results might well be a bit more favourable in warmer circumstances. The BCM2 AC-charger takes about 5 hours to get an empty battery ready for action again. We did not have a camera manual to our disposal at the time of our test, but from our experience we know that Olympus always include a printed manual to explain the basic functions of the camera, whereas advanced options are explained on the accompanying CD.

    Image quality

Let's find out if performance of the included kit lens can really match the professional standard of the FourThirds system. The Zuiko Digital 14-45mm f3.5-5.6 zoom lens (28-90mm eq), has a shortest focusing distance of 0.38m/1.3ft which does not make it suitable for true macro work but - to be honest - this is not what most photographers will use it for anyway. Far more important is the general image quality in day to day picture situations. We have to conclude that in this field the lens performs quite well. Sharpness at wide angle is good although at telephoto it appears to be a little softer. Stopping down the lens obviously improves on this. There is some barrel distortion at wide angle but it appears to be less than with 28mm equivalent lenses on other prosumer DSLRs. Pincushion distortion at tele is not an issue, as there isn't any. Vignetting is kept well under control at wide angle although we found some slight shading in extreme corners at tele setting - see one of the sample images above. Chromatic aberration is completely absent.

The standars that choose a good camera is longer working time and a high quality image. All of these are given by Olympus E-300 camera.E-300 have a high capacity olympus BLM-1 battery, 0.1 second with manual focus. So the olympus camera is better choose.

    Connectionsa

The standard connections for USB, Power-in and Audio/Video-out are present. There is also a sync terminal on the lens section of the body, this can be used to attach an external Speedlight flash.

    Battery life

The now familiar EN-EL1 rechargeable battery (5.0 Wh), also found on the CP5000 and CP5700, is used here. Nikon estimates that the battery will last for about 100 minutes in "average use".

    Image quality

At an average print-size this looks a very sharp and colourful photo. Looking at a 100% scale view of the fly's legs, the Coolpix 4500 is about as sharp as other digital cameras in this price range. Where it leaps ahead of many of its competitors, is the macro capability that allowed the shot to be taken. The Coolpix cameras have had this macro capability as one of their strong points for some time now and the Coolpix 4500 continues the tradition.

I like the camera, beacause Nikon includes an external charger for the nikon EN-EL1. They also give you a lens cap and strap to protect the lens. And high quality image.

Nikon Coolpix 3700 digital camera review

    nikon Coolpix 3700

The Nikon Coolpix 3700 is a sub-compact digital camera with a precision 3x Optical-Zoom Nikkor lens and 3.2-megapixel resolution that delivers up to 2048 x 1536-pixel images. It incorporates a host of new and exciting Coolpix features designed to make picture-taking fast and simple. The Coolpix 3700 is the first Coolpix camera to use SD memory, the fastest growing and most widely embraced digital medium available today.

    Coolpix 3700 Features:

    • 3-megapixel effective CCD for images up to 2048x1536 pixels

    • Nikkor 3x optical zoom (35-105mm in 35mm equivalent)

    • Macro focus with AF down to 1.6 inches

    • 5-area AF with user selectable focus area

    • 1.5-inch 134,000 pixel TFT color monitor

    • Compact, stylish, lightweight and durable aluminum body

    • Program AE and 15 pre-programmed Scene exposure modes

    • Single, Continuous H 2.5/L 1.5fps, 16-Shot Multi

    • Eight movie modes including 640x480 (VGA) at 30fps with audio

    • Automatic shutter speeds from 1/3000 sec. to 4 sec's

    • Built-in flash with auto, fill, and red-eye reduction

    • 256-segment Matrix exposure metering

    • Secure Digital card slot, 16MB card included

    • Plug-n-Play USB 1.1 connectivity, mass storage compliant

    • One-Touch upload for easy image transfers

    • Rechargeable Li-ion battery(EN-EL5) included

Like other Nikon cameras, the Coolpix 3700 includes a Lexar "starter" memory card. The one included here is 16MB, which is okay, but you'll want a larger one right away. Might I suggest 128MB as a good place to start? The CP3700 does not support MultiMediaCards!

The Coolpix 3700 uses the new EN-EL5 battery, a proprietary lithium-ion battery with 4.0 Wh of energy. Nikon estimates that you can take about 200 photos per charge, which is typical of a compact camera.

Normally I knock a camera that uses proprietary batteries, and I do so for two reasons. One, because they're expensive. In addition to using the EN-EL5, the CP3700 can also use a CP1 lithium prismatic battery (not rechargeable). The CP1 lasts about 25% longer than the EN-EL5.

    Superior image quality

The Coolpix 3700, with its precision 3x optical Zoom-Nikkor lens and 3.2 megapixel resolution delivers superior optical performance and photo-quality (2,048 x 1,536-pixel) images packed with natural looking colour and sharp detail. The new Coolpix camera utilises Nikon technologies and imaging expertise to ensure faithful colour reproduction, sharp contrast and clarity in virtually all shooting conditions. Excellence in image quality is ensured thanks to the high-precision 256-segment Matrix exposure metering and TTL- controlled Auto White Balance.

    Stylish, sleek-compact design

Lightweight and pocket-sized, the Coolpix 3700 is designed to be easy to carry, durable and attractive. Encased in a slim compact body with a brushed aluminium finish, the camera measures approximately (W x H x D) 95.5 x 50.0 x 31.0mm (3.76 x 1.97 x 1.22 in) and weighs just 130g (4.6oz) without battery and SD memory card.

Easy to operate, fun to use

    1. As with all cameras in the Coolpix series, the Coolpix 3700 aims to make digital photography simpler for the novice and to offer potential for the advanced user to experiment and develop their skills and capabilities.

    2. Simple operation: The controls on the Coolpix 3700 have been kept to a minimum and are logically arranged for easy, speedy handling. The camera also powers up instantly and features a fast shutter response.

    3. 15 Scene Modes: The Coolpix 3700 is equipped with 15 Scene Modes, including Portrait, Party/Indoor, Sunset, Museum, Fireworks Show and Panorama Assist, which optimise the camera settings for a wide range of subjects, backgrounds and lighting conditions.

    4. Continuous Shooting: The fast-acting shutter is also capable of shooting at 2.5 (H) or 1.5 (L) frames per second, or the new Multi-shot mode for capturing 16 consecutive frames in a single image.

    5. Macro Function: In Macro Mode, the Coolpix 3700 delivers sharply focused images of subjects from as close as 4cm (1.6in).

    6. TV Movie Mode: The Coolpix 3700 offers eight Movie Modes, including a new TV Movie Mode with streaming technology that enables the production of TV-size (640 x 480-pixel) movies complete with sound.

Above all, the Nikon Coolpix 3700 was an average performer.High quality image and battery(nikon en-el5),easy to use.So you can prensent to your families as a christmas gift.

Fujifilm FinePix F402 digital camera review

The F402 is a very small metal camera designed for point-and-shoot users. It uses a 2.1 Megapixel SuperCCD sensor rather than a regular CCD used by other cameras. The "deal" with the SuperCCD is that the individual light sensors on the SuperCCD are arranged in a different pattern that on traditional CCDs, allowing for a higher density. That's how a 2.1 Megapixel SuperCCD produces images with 4 million pixels.

    fujifime F402 camera

Fujifilm FinePix F402: Features At A Glance

    • Fujifilm’s 3rd Generation Super CCD provides 2.1 million effective pixels (delivering 4.0 million recorded pixels). Uses special Noise Reduction technology to produce ultra-low noise results even at the highest sensitivity. Pixel Data Coupling technology also enables higher ISO sensitivities (from 200 equivalency to ultra high speed 800* and 1600*)

    • Sharp 39mm (35mm equivalent) Super EBC Fujinon prime lens

    • 3.6x digital zoom (VGA mode, 640 x 480 pixels)

    • Movie mode offering QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) at 10 frames per second with sound (clips up to 60 seconds, or 240 seconds in 160 x 120 mode)

    • Powerful built-in flash

    • New easy-to-use graphical user interface

    • Low power consumption for long battery life (NP-40)

    • cPictureCradle™ included, for convenient downloading of images and recharging of batteries

    • Stylish brushed-metal case with ultra-slim design

    • Uses Fujifilm’s recently-announced xD-Picture Card memory format

The F402 uses a different batteries than the F401 did -- it's much less powerful. The F401 used the NP-60, which had 3.8 Wh of power. Here, the NP-40 battery has 2.6 Wh of power -- about 1/3 less.

    Powerful multimedia capabilities

The fast and accurate processing of images, made possible by the 3rd Generation Super CCD, delivers an impressive movie mode, offering 320 x 240 pixel (QVGA) resolution at ten frames per second with sound. In addition, the camera can be used as a webcam for Internet conferencing.

    Cool styling, great results!

The FinePix F402's styling builds on the successful formula developed with the FinePix F401 Zoom. The compact design makes the camera ideal to carry with you everywhere. The use of the recently announced xD-Picture Card further enhances the storage capabilities of this camera, offering high capacities, fast image storage/retrieval times and low power consumption.

    Everything included in the box

The FinePix F402 ships with a host of accessories including a PictureCradle, fujifilm NP-40 Lithium-ion battery, AC power adaptor, 16MB xD-Picture Card, strap and soft case. The supplied software CD includes USB drivers, Fujifilm's FinePix viewer for image browsing, DP Editor and VideoImpression for movie editing.

Optional accessories include additional xD-Picture Cards (16 to 128MB, with larger capacities available soon) and USB xD-Picture Card readers.

    Canon Powershot S50

The PowerShot S50 is Canon's first 5 megapixel camera. The latest in a series of cameras (S30, S40, S45) that share the same body design, the S50 remains true to its heritage.

    Canon S50 Specifications

    • 5.0 megapixels (effective)

    • 3x optical zoom/4.1x digital zoom

    • auto and manual focus

    • program and manual exposure

    • JPEG and RAW file formats

    • ISO range 50-400

    • proprietary Lithium-Ion battery (NB-2L,NB-2LH)

    • movie mode with sound

    canon powershot s50 camera

The top-ranked Canon PowerShot S50 offers superb image quality and easy-to-use controls. Offering almost all the advanced features and optional manual controls of the G3, yet simple enough for beginners to use, the S50 should appeal to anyone who wants high resolution in a compact package.

The included 32MB CompactFlash card is a good place to start, but you'll definitely need a larger card. The S50 works with Type I or Type II CompactFlash cards, so the IBM Microdrive is an option (and a good one at that).

The S50 uses a smaller battery than the G3. The NB-2LH battery has a respectable 4.2 Watt/hours of power. Canon estimates that you can get about 335 photos per charge with 50% LCD use, or 3 hours in playback mode.

Canon includes an external battery charger with the S50. You plug it directly into the wall -- no cords needed. I like that. Charging the battery takes about 80 minutes.

We're very pleased with the S50's images. Exposures generally came out just right, and our photos showed excellent detail and dynamic range. Canon's firmware doesn't oversharpen the pictures, so they have a very smooth -- if slightly soft -- look. Noise levels are low, and even our ISO 400 shots were less noisy than what we've seen from many 5-megapixel competitors. We recommend using the ISO 50 or 100 setting when shooting in bright light to obtain beautifully smooth, noise-free shots.

As always, I recommend a trip down to your local reseller to try out the PowerShot S50 and it's competitors before you buy!The Powershot S50 have a strong power canon NB-2LH battery and good quality image. So I think you can buy it.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100 digital camera review

Recently, I got a Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 and went out with it yesterday, using it from about midday to about 11 at night (alright maybe not using it the ENTIRE time),I'm really happy with the quality of the photos and how easy it is to take quick pictures. So,now I want to share it with you.

Inside Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 box,you can find:

The 8.1 effective Megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-T100 camera,NP-BG1 rechargeable lithium-ion battery ,Battery charger ,Wrist strap ,USB + A/V cable ,CD-ROM featuring Picture Motion Browser and drivers
and 32 page basic manual (printed) plus full manual (on CD-ROM).

    sony dsc-t100 camera

DSC-T100 uses the same NP-BG1 lithium-ion battery as several of Sony's other cameras. The NP-BG1 battery has 3.6 Wh of energy, which isn't much, but somehow Sony manages to squeeze good numbers out of it. This is the only Sony digital camera battery that I know of that isn't an "InfoLithium", which means that it won't tell you how many minutes you have left before the battery dies.

A surprisingly strong heart beats beneath the DSC-T100's slim, shiny exterior. The 8-megapixel camera features a 35mm-to-175mm-equivalent 5x zoom Zeiss lens, a notable upgrade over previous T-series cameras' 3x zoom lenses.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T100's firmware offers almost as many useful features as its hardware does. Its face-detection mode automatically adjusts exposures when shooting family photos. You can also tweak color, correct red-eye, and even apply different effects such as fish-eye and cross filter, all within the camera. The T100 can also output MP3-playing slide shows to standard definition TVs with the included RCA video cable, or to high-definition TVs with an optional component-video cable.

The reson I Like it is:

    • 5X zoom in a compact, stylish body

    • Good image quality

    • Optical image stabilization

    • Huge 3-inch LCD display

    • Snappy performance

    • AF-assist lamp; good low light focusing

    • 1 cm minimum focus distance in "super" macro mode

    • Face detection and redeye removal features work well, though limited to just two shooting modes

    • Optical zoom and image stabilization can be used in movie mode

    • Superb battery life(sony NP-BG1)

    • Optional underwater case and wide-angle lens

    • USB 2.0 High Speed protocol supported

Dear friends,if you want to buy a camera or charge a new camera, the DSC-T100 is a better choose.

    Sony DSC-F77 Digital Camera Review

Sony DSC-F77 Offers a Uniquely Stylish Design, Carl Zeiss Distagon Lens, New Smart Zoom Technology and Cradle. The Cyber-shot DSC-F77 brings an unique Sony camera design back to life.

The DSC-F77 has a very good bundle. Inside the box, you'll find:

    • The 4.0 effective Megapixel Cyber-shot DSC-F77 camera

    • 16MB Memory Stick card

    • NP-FC11 InfoLithium battery

    • Battery charger / AC adapter

    • Wrist strap

    • USB cable

    • A/V cable

    • Dimensions (WxDxH): 9.3 cm x 2.7 cm x 7.1 cm

    • Weight: 0.2 kg

    • Colour: Silver

    • Localisation: Europe

    • Supported Flash Memory: Memory Stick

    • Shooting Modes: Frame movie mode

    • Lens Aperture: F/2.8

    • Focus Adjustment: Automatic

    • Min Focus Range: 50 cm

    • Focal Length: 7.65 mm

    • Digital Zoom: 3.5 x

    • Camera Flash: Built-in flash

    • Red Eye Reduction: Built-in

    • Microphone: Microphone - built-in - electret condenser - mono

    • Viewfinder: Optical - real-image

    sony DSC-F77 Camera

Sony includes a 16MB Memory Stick card with the DSC-F77.I'd suggest 128MB as a good starter size (though a larger card wouldn't hurt!). You can use regular Memory Sticks (limited to 256MB) or the new Memory Stick Pro cards, which have a larger capacity (up to 1GB) and higher transfer rates. Memory Stick Pro cards tend to be a little more expensive than other formats (such as CompactFlash).

The DSC-F77 uses a proprietary lithium-ion battery known as the sony NP-FC11. This battery translates into spending 165 minutes (330 photos) in record mode and 400 minutes in playback mode.

When it's time to charge the battery, plug the included adapter into the camera. It takes approximately 200 minutes to fully charge the battery. The adapter can also be used to power your camera in a studio setting or when you're transferring photos to your PC.

Another key benefit of the DSC-F77 is its operating speed, allowing the user to capture the moment as it happens. The rotating lens operates as an on/off switch – a feature which significantly reduces the time taken to shoot a picture. The camera takes less than one second to power up while it features a shutter time lag of only 0.35 seconds and a shutter interval speed of approx. 2 seconds. Another feature which speeds up operation is the latest high speed USB 2.0.

If you are searching a sony camera, sony DSC-F77 camera is a better chose.

    Casio EXILIM EX-S20 Review

    casio ex-s20 camera

Casio EXILIM EX-S20 is a mere 11.3 mm thick, 83mm wide and 53mm high. Its stylish stainless steel case resists de-coloration and it's finished to a high gloss using CASIO's 'Ex Fine Blast Treatment'. Furthermore, a new lens protection cover has been added to help protect the lens from impact and dirt.

The Exilim's EX-S20 stainless-steel body is well built and nicely finished, though getting a comfortable grip on its tiny dimensions is a bit tricky. Using the hardware and menu-based controls is generally quick and simple.

    EX-S20 Features:

    • Although the thickness of these new models remains the same (11.3mm) as the EX-S2, Stack MCM (Multi-Chip Module) chip mounting has made it possible to reduce the surface area of these models by about 10% over previous models.

    • High-capacity Casio NP-20 battery,lithium ion battery.

    • High-speed start-up has the camera ready to shoot about 0.9 seconds after power on (when built-in flash is turned off).

    • A release time lag of only 0.01 seconds (monitor screen and flash off) means that an image starts to be recorded virtually as soon as you press the shutter release button.

    • The camera is ready to shoot again only about one second after you record an image (when built-in flash is turned off).
    • High-speed playback scrolls at a speed of about 0.1 seconds per image, making image searches quicker and easier.

    • The macro mode lets you move in up to 30 centimetres for close-ups, perfect for shots of A4 size documents.

    • A lens cover protects the lens from impact and dust by opening and closing whenever the camera is turned on and off.

    • Extended battery performance gives approximately 85% longer continuous recording time than the previous models.

    • A 2 megapixel CCD combines with a new noise reduction process for outstanding image quality, especially when shooting at night.

    • The BESTSHOT mode provides access to 15 pre-installed camera setups in an instant. Simply select the sample scene that is similar to the image you want to record, and the camera's exposure compensation, white balance, and other settings are configured automatically.

    • Photo Stand feature lets you view a slideshow of images with the camera on its cradle.

    • Full-month calendar screen shows a thumbnail of the first image recorded on each date.

    • World Time lets you select one of 162 cities in 32 time zones around the world as your home time. When travelling to another time zone, simply select the applicable city, and time and date settings are adjusted automatically.

    • An alarm function sounds an alarm and displays a specified image at a preset time. With the EX-M20, you can also include a voice message for playback at the alarm time.

    • Triple Self-timer records three consecutive images, so you can select and keep the best one.
Images are stored in a Web browser-viewable format that allows you to browse images in an album on your computer screen.

    • 10MB of Flash memory comes built in, and a card slot supports use of an SD memory card or MMC (memory card not included).

The EXILIM EX-S20 model is 10% smaller than its predecessors with no sacrifice to function, and retains a resolution of 2.0 million effective pixels. A number of added features such as the enhanced movie recording facility of up to 60 seconds, (NP-20 battery)extended battery life of 85% over previous models, and the new scratch resistant acrylic panel monitor (LCD), to name but a few, re-emphasize EXILIM as the perfect partner to take anywhere, anytime.

This model incorporates a 1.6" TFT LCD screen with a digital interface, which produces vivid and clear images. Benefiting from CASIO's original design technology, the camera also features a new macro shooting function which allows images to be taken from as little as 30cm away, making the EX-S20 the first fixed-focus EXILIM model to be equipped with macro capabilities.

If you've been looking for an ultra-small digicam that can double as a fashion accessory that can turn heads as well as photograph them, take a good look at the Casio Exilim EX-S20; it's a winner.

    Nikon Coolpix S5 Review

Nikon Coolpix S5 is a powerful digital camera.Pictmotion with high-quality music,Eye-catching wave-surface design,Large LCDs ,Rotary multi selector and improved GUI,Built-in Wi-Fi and One-touch portrait functions.

    nikon Coolpic s5 Camera

Coolpix S5 is one of two new cameras in Nikon’s S range of ultra-slim pocket compacts. The S series itself is relatively recent, starting with the 5.0 megapixel S1 launched around this time last year. All the cameras in the series share the same basic layout, with a 3x optical zoom non-protruding lens mounted in the top right corner of the front panel, and only a bare minimum of external controls. The S5 has a 6.0 megapixelssensor, a high resolution 2.5in LCD monitor, a hi-capacity Nikon EN-EL8 battery and a strong metal body. It measures 93 x 59 x 20mm and weighs 165g including battery and card – it may be neither the slimmest nor the lightest camera on the market, but it is small and light enough to slip into a shirt pocket or purse without leaving much of a bulge.

    Nikon COOLPIX S5 Features:

    • Highly compact dimensions of (W x H x D) S5: 93 x 59 x 20mm (3.7 x 2.3 x 0.8 in.);

    • Approx. 135g (4.8 oz.), S6: Approx. 140g (4.9 oz.)

    • 21MB (approx.), S6: 20MB (approx.) of internal memory, SD Card compatibility
BSS (Best Shot Selector) identifies and saves the sharpest shot automatically from ten sequential shots

    • Exposure BSS automatically selects and saves the shot most closely matching user-selected criteria from five sequential shots

    • USB connectivity supports easy transfer of data to computers and other peripherals

    • Swift startup of approx. 0.8 seconds; Continuous shooting at up to 2.2fps

    • Date Counter visually records countdown of days to an occasion or number of days since an important event

    • Help Button provides easy-to-understand explanations for functions on main menu

    • Blur Warning informs user after shooting if an image is blurred

    • Menu available in a choice of 20 languages

    • Noise Reduction produces better results during low-light conditions

    • Time zone function enables the camera clock to be set to local time, anywhere in the world
4x digital zoom extends compositional freedom

    • Rechargeable EN-EL8 Li-ion Battery (supplied) can shoot approx. 210 shots (S5)/ 200 shots (S6) on a single charge

    • Field Jacket FJ-CP1 water-resistant case (optional) lets users keep the COOLPIX dry to underwater depths of 3 meters

    • Dock Insert PV-10/PV-11 (supplied) enable direct printing to compatible ImageLink printers
Choice of White Balance: Auto with TTL control, 6-mode manual (Daylight, Incandescent, Fluorescent, Cloudy, Flash and White Bal. Preset)

    • Voice recording available for duration of up to 5 hours or until memory capacity is reached

In the Nikon Coolpix S5 box

Apart from the usual straps and cables, the Nikon S5 comes with a handy Quick Start guide plus an elaborate 95-page instruction manual which clearly explains all the finer things of the camera and how to put them to good use. The Nikon S5 buyer is provided with ample info about the all new Pictmotion function to show your images as slide shows with added music on TV or PC. There are many tips on what settings to choose in various image situations and direct printing is explained in great detail as well.

There is no SD memory card with the camera as the Coolpix S5 is equipped with 21Mb of internal memory, which could hold about 8 to 10 six-megapixel shots at its finest resolution. Considering the prices of memory cards today, a 1GB SD card would be a good investment with this camera. This should keep you happy for a week's holiday, shooting about one hundred 6-megapixel images a day.

The proprietary Li-ion EN-EL8 battery provides enough power for almost 200 shots between charges. As other manufacturers manage to get quite a bit more out of their power cells, our best advice with the Nikon would be to buy a spare battery and keep it charged at all times. Charging the battery takes about two hours and is done by placing the camera in the supplied Cool Station MV-14, which acts as a camera dock to send pictures to PC or printer or to connect the S5 to a your home television.

Software comprises Nikon's Picture Project CD-Rom for Windows or MAC to transfer and store images on your PC. Its functions include adjusting brightness and contrast and performing some basic imaging functions. Images can be arranged in folders according to date or subject or shared with others.

    Image quality

Nikon's Picture Effects Mode is a very basic "cut to the chase" set of in-camera image adjustment options. Users can select Standard Color, Vivid Color, Black-and-White, Sepia, and Cyanotype (gives images a retro blue-hued monochromatic look).

The Nikon S5 consistently delivers outstanding picture quality, above average performance, and puts the fun back into taking pictures. It is stylish, very well designed, user friendly, surprisingly versatile, and capable of dependably excellent results.

    Canon powershot SD700 Review

Yesterday,I bought canon powershot for my sister and she has been extremely happy with it. It's actually quite expensive but worth the price. So I will introduct the camera.

The Canon PowerShot SD700 IS is compact, though slightly larger than the other two models. Still, it's the right size to slip into a jacket or a loose pants pocket. At 6.8 ounces, it's a bit heavy for its small size, giving it a nice, solid feel.

    canon powershot SD700 camera

The PowerShot SD700 has an average bundle. Inside the box, you'll find:

The 6.0 effective Megapixel Canon PowerShot SD700 IS Digital ELPH camera

    16MB Secure Digital card

    NB-5L lithium-ion battery

    Battery charger

    Wrist strap

    USB cable

    A/V cable

CD-ROM featuring Canon Digital Camera Solutions, ArcSoft PhotoStudio, and drivers

24 page basic manual + 137 page advanced manual (both printed)

Canon includes a 16MB memory card along with the SD700, which is pretty small for a 6MP camera (holding just four photos at the highest quality setting). That means that you'll need to buy a memory card, which drives up the initial purchase price of the camera a bit. Like the other cameras in the SD series, the SD700 uses Secure Digital memory cards, and I'd suggest a 512MB card as a good starter size. The camera takes advantage of high speed memory cards, so it's worth spending the extra bucks for one of those.

While the "old" SD550 had decent battery life compared to the other Digital ELPHs, it was a bit lacking compared to the competition, so Canon came up with a new, more powerful battery. This new battery, known as the canon NB-5L, packs 4.1 Wh of energy, up about 40% from the SD550's NB-3L battery.

The main camera controls rest in a four-way-plus-OK pad, while menu, print, and display buttons sit next to the LCD screen. You change the flash, timer, macro, and ISO sensitivity settings directly through the control pad, while more technical settings such as exposure compensation, white balance, and color adjustment are accessed via the function menu. The buttons are round and responsive, and they feel comfortable even under large thumbs. My only real quibble with the SD700's control layout is the tiny, finicky power button, which is wedged in an uncomfortable position just above the LCD screen and to the right of the viewfinder.

The SD700 IS's quick and responsive performance hits the right note. A shutter lag of 0.5 second in bright light and 0.8 second in dim light are about average for an ultracompact, but its 1.5-second time to first shot and 1.6-second shot-to-shot time definitely rise above the crowd. Even with the onboard flash enabled, shot-to-shot time rose to only 1.9 seconds. And it keeps up the pace in continuous-shooting mode--about 2.1fps in burst mode for an effectively unlimited number of shots.

The Canon PowerShot SD700 IS is a very strong, compact digital camera that produces great pictures. Its price is a bit high compared to that of its little brothers, the SD600 and SD630, but its great image stabilization and subsequent blur-free photos are worth the extra few quid.

I hope you can love the Powershot SD700 digital camera with high quality NB-5L battery ,Great performance and pictures; effective image stabilization; attractive, comfortable design.

Olympus C-50Z Zoom has a good bundle. Inside the box, you'll find:

    • The 5.0 effective Mpixel C-50 Zoom camera

    • 32MB xD Picture Card

    • LI-10B lithium ion battery w/charger

    • Remote control

    • Wrist strap

    • USB cable

    • Video cable

    • CD-ROM featuring Olympus Camedia Master software and drivers

    • Basic manual (printed, 39 pages), fold-out Quick Start guide, plus full manual on CD-ROM

There is a 32MB xD Picture Card in the box. It's enough to start with, but you'll want a larger card right away, as those 5 million pixel images take up a lot of space. xD cards are the smallest memory cards out there, and theoretically offer some of the best performance as well. Unfortunately, as of this writing, xD cards aren't any larger than 128MB.

The C-50 zoom is Olympus' first digicam to use a proprietary battery, which isn't surprising considering the size of the camera. I'm not a huge fan of such batteries, but they are unavoidable with cameras this small. The Olympus LI-10B has 4.0 Watt/hours of power. The battery is the same power as casio np-20 battery.

In addition to the still image capture the C-50 Zoom also records 320x240 and 160x120 QuickTime movie modes at 15fps without sound. The length of movie clips is limited to 33 seconds in HQ and 148 seconds in SQ quality. The movie quality indoor is quite good but outdoors you need to watch out for lighting "hot spots" like sun glints off of reflective objects which create nasty top-to-bottom of frame purple streaks. You also have to be careful to keep the sun behind you as the lens goes to full wide angle when you activate movie mode. You can't use the optical zoom but you can enable the digital zoom from the menu.
